①advise against =to suggest that something should not be done  ~しないよう助言する、忠告する

Advise against means to suggest to someone that they should not do something they are thinking of doing.
Many parents advise their children against studying art.
Because artists struggle financially.
They don't have a stable income.
So parents advise their children to study engineering or medicine.

② eat into = to use up a large part of something valuable, such as money or time.  ~を使い込む

Eat into means to use or take away a large part of something valuable, such as money or time. The high cost of living in the capital city is eating into my savings. Students' university fees have been eating into parents' savings. You have eaten into my wallet.
